There are many ways you can make your office a greener space.
Introducing day-to-day activities both you and your employees can engage in to improve the quality of air in your workplace is another great place to start.
Day To Day Changes
Many seemingly small adjustments can work to make your office a greener, cleaner space:
- Are you using energy-hungry incandescent light bulbs? Try replacing these with compact fluorescent lightbulbs instead.
- Does your workplace switch on the air conditioning as soon as we enter the warmer months? Opt for using fans where and when it’s appropriate.
- Do your employees turn off their equipment at the end of every day? Make sure there is an office-wide shutdown of computers and printers after hours.
- Could your office use a little ventilation feng shui? Make sure air vents are unblocked by furniture, storage boxes, chairs or cabinets as this will disrupt air circulation. Also invest in some air-purifying indoor plants.
