We are delighted to be partnered with AirScape.
AirScape, in partnership with The Camden Clean Air Initiative and The Camden Council, launched the world’s first network of air quality monitors providing street-level air quality data in real time. The network was completed at the end of June 2022 across the Borough of Camden. Extremely versatile and free to access, AirScape creates a picture of the city, making it easier to pinpoint the most problematic sources and address them. For the first time ever, street-level air quality data in real time enables individuals, communities, and decision-makers to take action for clean air for everyone.

Here’s why AirScape is involved in The Camden Clean Air Initiative, why we’re proud to have them support us, and a little more about them.
Why did you decide to get involved with The Camden Clean Air Initiative?
At AirScape, we are keen to collaborate and include everyone in the drive towards cleaner healthier air for all. We found a kindred spirit with The Camden Clean Air Initiative; a team that is positive, energetic and understands well the needs of the Borough.
What are your plans for being involved?
We can’t sit back and wait for someone else to address the issues with pollution. We all have a responsibility and a role to play. The first key step is to understand air quality at a street by street level to create ‘actionable data’ to address issues at policy, operational and behavioural levels.
What do you love most about Camden?
It has to be the people! Everyone we’ve met has been supportive and inclusive as if it’s one big team made up of lots of different stakeholders. Together, we have a chance to make Camden an air quality leader, not just in London but across the whole world.
A little more about AirScape
With our background in science and engineering, AirScape is a mission-driven company and a world-leading pioneer in air quality management. We are passionate about clean air as a human right and work tirelessly on technologies that help people around the world to reduce their exposure to air pollution and airborne pathogens and allergens.

AirScape Air Quality Monitoring
We have installed 227 air quality monitoring sensors across the Borough of Camden. These are spread out approximately by 200 meters and provide live real time data via a website for easy community access, aiming to encourage policy and behavioural change. The systems breaks down levels of NO2, PM2.5, PM10, and O3 and allows individuals to see a hyper-local break down of air quality around the Borough and possible causations of spikes in air quality. This can be accessed via the AirScape webpage. We are looking forward to running community workshops on how to read, access and make the most of the data, keep an eye out for our updates on how to access these. You can find more information on our air quality monitoring network here.
